Let me introduce you to my wonderful Daewoo microwave. It has one dial you turn to set the timer, a start button, and a stop button. It is glorious.

Great read! You also don't "cook" with a microwave but reheat, which impacts the quality of your food. You'll know this if you've ever tried reheating some meat only to get a piece of rubber back. So maybe we should question how we can more efficiently use ovens to reheat small portions.

My old microwave - dial knob, bell and all - is mainly used to warm up eye compresses these days. For everything else there are better appliances imo
